Golf styles evolve
Golfers as a whole are not necessarily the most stylish group of people. It’s a traditional game, and much of the clothing is very traditional. But if you’re paying attention to the pro golfers this weekend at Firestone, you’ll see that many of them, particularly the younger golfers, are embracing the newer styles we’re seeing in men’s clothing. The baggy look has been gone for years, and now the pants and shirts are much tighter. The younger and slimmer guys can look great in these new styles, while guys with a pot belly have to be pretty disappointed in these new trends.
So as you head out onto the links this summer, consider upgrading your golf wardrobe with the latest looks. You can click here to shop Galvin Green for one of the best brands in golf. The selection of golf shirts is excellent and you’ll surely find something that fits your tastes. You’ll see that they emphasize an athletic cut so if you’re in shape they’ll make you look great. They have some great waterproof golf jackets as well. By shopping for golf clothes from online store Function18, you’ll be able to choose from so many top brands like Boss and Adidas as well. Selection is important, as even with new styles you need to find something that works for you. You don’t need to mimic Rory McIlroy, but rather browse all of the new looks and see which ones you like best.
So throw out those old baggy shirts and slacks and hit the links in style this summer.
Golfing for women
So much golf content is geared towards men, so it’s always cool when we find a golf site to feature that is geared towards women. Check out the Golf Girl’s Diary, and excellent site by Patricia Hannigan that focuses on a wide variety of topics, including golf gear, history, news, pros and more. The writing is excellent and she comes up with stories you won’t find on traditional golf sites.

Improve Your Golf Game
Golf can be both the sweetest and most frustrating sport in the world. There is nothing better than the magic feeling of hitting a perfect golf shot. But there is nothing more maddening than shanking a ball off into the woods or the water. In order to keep your rounds as uplifting as possible, follow these tips to quickly improve your golf game.
Work with a Pro
The best way for golfers to make rapid improvements in their skill levels is to get the services of a professional instructor. It can be very tough to figure out on your own what you are doing wrong. On the other hand, most quality instructors can notice the basic flaws in your swing within a few minutes.
Once an instructor has identified the fundamental flaws in your swing, you can go about correcting them. The instructor will give you drills to work on that will fix the things that are wrong. Practice these drills until you can’t stand them anymore. When you put in the hard work to fix the flaws in your swing, it will shave many strokes off of your handicap.
Develop a Pre-Shot Routine
One of the biggest reasons that people shanks a ball is that they do not swing consistently. They swing perfectly on one shot, but then they make major mistakes on the very next one. The easiest way to fix this erratic behavior is to develop a pre-shot routine. It is a bit like a free-throw shooter’s routine in basketball. A pre-shot routine will remind you exactly what you need to do to swing correctly. It will also psychologically center you, calming you down and getting you into the zone.
Practice Every Day
The easiest way to quickly improve you golf game it to practice every day. It may not be possible to get out to the course every day, especially for those who live in the northern climes. However, it is possible for everyone to practice their putting every day. It is easy to practice your swing every day, too.
A great tool to practice you swing indoors is a weighted practice club. These practice clubs weigh more than a normal club, but they are smaller. This allows you to get a great workout for your swing muscles even when you are indoors.
Gain Some Confidence
Golf is a mental game. The ability to step up to the tee with confidence is crucial for success. One of the easiest ways to gain confidence is to look good on the course. When you look good, you feel confident. This confidence will lend itself to your golf game. If you are stuck in a rut, try buying some flashy new golf clothes at Pricegrabber.
Remember that golf is supposed to be fun. Try to remember this even when you have a bad round. As long as you are following these tips and consistently working on your game, success will come in time.

Sub70 Golf Shirts
With the holidays here, it’s a great time to pick up golf gear as gifts or just to shop for yourself. Check out this line of stylish golf shirts from Sub70 featured in Bullz-Eye.com’s Holiday Gift Guide in the Guy Stuff section.
Many guys love golf, so golf gear is usually a great option. If you’re shopping for a golf fan who also has a sense of style, check out the golf shirts and other gear from Sub70. Fashion trends for men have evolved in recent years as a slimmer, more athletic fit has become the standard in everything from suits to t-shirts. This more stylish look has also had an impact on the usually stodgy golf world, as younger golfers have made their mark on the tour. Sub70 embraces these new style trends as the “classic golf shirt goes modern.” They have a wide variety of European-fit polos in a full range of styles and colors. We checked out the Zane/White golf shirt pictured here and loved the styling. Some of the shirts are trendier than others but the modern styles definitely stand out as something new and fresh. The all-polyester shirts are very comfortable, but they are definitely tighter and the sizes run smaller than expected. They are ideal for a leaner and more athletic build, so it’s not for guys who consistently choose beer and the buffet line over the gym!

Golf gloves matter
Golf is a game of precision, and the little things matter. David Medsker reviewed the Hirzl Trust Control gloves:
Let’s state the obvious up front: golf is an expensive sport, and if you’re anything like us, there are certain pieces of equipment where you tend to, well, go cheap. The one area where function completely dominated form in terms of gear has always been the golf glove. Does it come in black? That’ll work, ring us up. Needless to say, when we were asked to review Hirzl’s golf gloves, at first it seemed a bit silly. Now, of course, we know better.
The weather conditions for our initial test were about as ideal as one could ask for – partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 70s. This means that we didn’t get to really test how well the gloves (we used Hirzl’s Trust Control gloves) would function in extreme heat or rain, but you can work up a sweat even on the driving range in weather like that, and the gloves, which contain kangaroo leather (who knew?) with mesh on the tops so your hands can breathe, remained bone dry the entire time.
